The Use of Fundamental Rules by Early Exegetes – Selected Examples, An Analytical Study –
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to demonstrate the impact of fundamentalist rules in shaping the interpretive structure of advanced interpreters, and to reveal the presence of the fundamentalist approach in directing connotations, weighting between statements, and deducing rulings. The study deals with the analysis of applied models of the early interpretations, highlighting how they employed the rules of generality and specificity, generality and restriction, command and prohibition, the meaning of the concept, and others. The research adopts the inductive and analytical approach, and concludes that interpretation according to the predecessors was not a purely linguistic work, but rather was founded on disciplined methodological principles that contributed to controlling understanding and deduction.
